Daughters of Palestine (2025)

Daughters of Palestine is a short film co-produced by Farah Alashhab and Jes R. R. Alexander. The work was commissioned by Wollongong City Council for Culture Mix Festival in 2025, and explores the personal and communal stories of local Palestinian women residing in the Illawarra.

The film was first screened as part of Culture Mix Festival at Wollongong Library, and has since been screened at Shoalhaven Regional Gallery and the Twin Gala Cinema in Warrawong.

This film was produced with support from Wollongong City Council’s Culture Mix Festival Creative Grant Program, and wouldn’t be possible without the deep generosity of those who so openly shared their stories with us.
